How the queue works

The queue in short

You put your child in the queue for a group and can always see where you stand, for example "Place 4 of 12". When a place becomes free you get an offer and 48 hours to answer. If you do not answer in time, your child stays in the queue.

Putting your child in the queue

Choose a group that uses the Playsa queue and press Join the queue. Before you decide, you can see how many are in the queue and how many were admitted last term.
Choose which child it is for. You need an account on Playsa.
Under My queues you see your child's place, for example "Place 4 of 12", and how many places your child has moved up since you last looked.
You can leave the queue whenever you like.

Priority and changes in the queue

The queue follows the order in which children joined, unless the organiser has priority rules, for example for siblings.
The priority rules are shown with the group before you join, so you know what applies.
If the organiser moves your child in the queue, you see it under My queues, always with the reason.

When a place becomes free

You get an email and see the offer under My queues.
You have 48 hours to answer, unless the organiser has set a different time. We remind you before the time runs out.
If you do not answer in time, the place goes to the next in the queue. Your child keeps their place and can get a new offer when the next place becomes free.
If you accept, the organiser is told and will contact you about the start and the fee.

If you decline

When you decline, you choose whether your child stays in the queue or leaves it. If your child stays, they keep their place, and the place you declined goes to the next in the queue.

Once a term

Once a term we ask you to confirm that your child should stay in the queue. We remind you before. If you do not confirm within 14 days, your child is removed from the queue, so that the queue only holds children who still want a place.

If you think something went wrong

You can ask the organiser to review a decision in the queue. Write to the organiser and say which group and which decision it concerns.

What Playsa does not promise

Playsa does not promise a place. The organiser decides who gets a place.
No organiser can pay for a better place, neither in the queue nor in the search.

What we store

For the queue we store your child's first name and year of birth, the place in the queue and when your child joined. The organiser sees the first name and the place. Other parents never see your child's name, only how many are in the queue. A closed queue place is deleted after 12 months.
